British Values

What are British Values?

Fundamental British Values underpin what it is to be a citizen in a modern and diverse Great Britain valuing our community and celebrating diversity of the UK.

These values are Democracy, Rule of Law, Respect and Tolerance, Individual Liberty.

The teaching of these values is done both as separate lessons and through the whole curriculum. Examples of learning about democracy include voting for the school council representatives. Respect and tolerance can be taught through RE or PHSE.

The power point below takes you through an assembly delivered to Key Stage 2 children.
