Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is the term given to money allocated to schools in their budget related to the number of children who are eligible for free school meals (FSM). The figure is calculated on any child in school who has been eligible for FSM in the past six years.  It is intended that this premium should be used to meet in some way any further needs of the child, with particular attention to their academic progress.

This money is used to provide financial assistance to pupils who wish to attend after-school clubs and residential visits, and to help fund the salaries of Educational Teaching Assistants for teaching and learning interventions.
